SSH is used for authentication and secure, encrypted data transmission. SSH enables cryptographically secured communication over insecure networks and provides a high level of security that allows mutual authentication of the partners as well as integrity and confidentiality of the exchanged data.
To connect to your server via SSH, you need an SSH client on Windows, such as “Putty”. (Download)
